I'm headed off to my first ESL teaching job in Wuhan, China in a couple of weeks and have been asked to research textbooks to use in our program. The material text we are after is ESL for primary (k-6) and junior (7-9) school. Ideally I'd like to find something that can cover our ESL junior school for Math, English Conversation & Grammar, and Science. The science and math component is just for language associations rather than for subject matter. After two years of English immersion in our program these students are supposed to be ready to head off and study in the United States and Canada, so academic texts that teach American English would be ideal. I've done a lot of browsing and read some reviews online but I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations. This is my first time doing this so any input would be greatly appreciated.
