Distance DELTA - pre-course reading - any suggestions?

I'm due to begin the 9 month Distance Delta this September 2009.

I'm interested to hear any tips and notes on the best pre-course reading I can do. I'll be on holiday most of July & August, so I can easily spend 10+ hours per week reading.

Are there any books that I should order immediately? I have access to a number of language schools where I work as a freelance, teaching at all levels.

My specialist module for the course is to be Business English.

Thanks in advance.

I am new to the site and this is a very old post, but for any who come this way, if your DELTA, residential, distance, full or part time is anything like mine, you want to read and understand everything on the reading list. If you try to catch up during the course, you will almost certainly fail.

This bit of wisdom was given me by DELTA candidates who had been unsuccessful at least one time previously. As it is, you are looking forward to chewing the carpet and dreaming of free time in any case without panicing over some obscure bit of theory you have never heard of.

Reading everything before was the best thing I could have done.
