Hi there,
I have been using the Side by Side for the past 5 years but thought I would give Top Notch a try as it was highly recommended to me. I must say I am disappointed. I have started with Top Notch and I feel that it is not structured, or maybe it just that it is all so new and different.
Does anyone have any experience using this? |

I've used Pearson's Top Notch/Summit series for the past three years because it is the book that the school at which I teach uses. Personally, I think it is slow. I wish it challenged the students more, but I know they design many classroom books this way so that slower students don't get left behind.
I have to admit, it's better than some of the alternative texts that my school tried though. |
