| Any suggestions if someone wanted to start a brewing operation in Japan? Let's say you got a production facility up and running, how would you go around getting your product distributed? |

Get some contacts in the Yakuza?
Seriously I know of a German brewmeister that is distributing through the local JA network but I'm not sure if it's his brewery or he is working for JA. I'd say the best angle is to start off as a local name beer aiming at the tourist market and then try to launch national (which would most likely see your yakuza connections come in handy). At the local level I'd talk to the local Chamber of Commerce or such. |
