I started working at Lambton in August. I received a few pms asking me for info.

I wont go into a long post here but...

The turnover rate is extreamly high. About 70% of the fts leave every term. 2 fts pulled runners the first month.

The administation is very poor at dealing with anything - both the chinese and the canadians. Many classes have no textbooks - even for the teachers. My studuents used 12 chapters of illegal photocopies of the textbook. Lambton in Canada didn't care at all.

Corruption is high with the chinese and the canadians overcharging the students and sometimes just outright stealing their money.

Lambton is your basic pay-as-you-go degree mill. The quality of education is very bad and the quality of students - most of them - are way below average. The students know they will receive thier degree whether they study or not. Lambton allows organised cheating amongst the students and complaints to both canada and china are ignored.

Contracts are not honored, teachers are cheated.

Lambton should be put on the scam warnings list... I figured working for a candaian school would be different... its not. Lambton now just has canadians cheating the students not just chinese...

Lambton is a bad organisation and should be avoided. Feel free to pm me for more details...

Why do people just talk bad about a school but won't bother to give any examples of what they supposedly do that is so bad or any 'facts' at all?

One of the most negative issues with Lambton is that every semester they pick an FT to be a "Supervisor" of the other teachers. For this "honor" the Ft will spy on the other teachers and rat on them to the administation.

This term it was an American female from California, I won't say her real name so we will just call her Patricia Hedara Cohen. She became the rat and reported the activites of all the other teachers for some personal agenda of hers.

I found out that they do this every term and it is an easy way for them to get gossip on the teachers. In addition this race tratior became present in personal meetings between teachers and the school and also used her "friends" to gather information for her to give to the school.

By this I mean at dinners she would have her "friends" sit at tables and take note of non school related issues or teachers feelings about the school and then pass this info to the school.

She caused alot of problems and ill feelings for the school.

The worst part is she never realised that she was just a tool of the administraion and being used...

One "management" principle every school has been good at is "divide and conquer", trying to divide the laowai as soon as possible

I tried to work at the school three years ago and was stood up by the person who was supposed to interview me. I understand that they wanted to make me feel small and insignificant. Canadians are the worst people to work for in China. I say this as a Canadian who regrets his heritage.

Anyone have any updates about Lambton? Anything newer to add, good or bad?
