Be wise do a yahoo or google search "UNESCO HCMC" and see what pops up. They have a long history and it is not good.

MOD EDIT - 45 min. classes, as amany as 30 kids, all different English skill levels. It's impossible and not worth the medicore hourly pay. I laughed in the guy's face after he told me exactly how much I'd be paid.

If you don't know what UNESCO stands for, it's a UN arm for "cultural and scientific" education.... but basically they're trying to have a presence in every country to push forward the UN political agendas.

My experience with UNESCO has been positive. I'm earning $20 an hour, which is pretty high for a beginner in HCMC. The staff that I work with are wonderful.

I won't touch the wingnut element of this post, but it is important to note that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is not involved in employing English teachers in Vietnam.

UNESCO Centre for International Cooperation on Education (CICE) has nothing to do with the real UNESCO, and is just using the name to lend legitimacy to their dodgy operation.

They are recruiting hard because the truth has become known.
