Update:
After I left the FAO sent me an e-mail saying that he was going to report me to the Foreign Expert Bureau and Entry/Exit Bureau and that I would be prevented from entering or working in China for three years. I've been contacting Chinese embassies trying to find out if this true all to no avail. Anybody with any experience with this? |
Idle threat meant to scare you. I would recommend that before your next attempt to enter China you make sure your visa is still valid if you intend to enter on the same visa. They can have it canceled if they want to be pricks. |

| A single entry Z visa is automatically cancelled upon departure from the mainland. I got my new Z at the Chinese Embassy in Mexico City. Same passport with the old Z visa and resident permit prominently displayed. No problems. |

| peewee1979 is right; I second what he said. Just an empty threat that would make more problems for their school in the long run. They are just scrambling to find a foreign teacher it seems, but if they treat their teachers like that, no bloody wonder why! |
