Dallah-Avco used to, and may still have a contract with the Presidency of Civil Aviation, (PCA), teaching English and Maths first year, and then electronics, air traffic control, avionics and fire and rescue in the second year.
Dallah-Avco is a big Saudi consortium owned by Sheik Saleh Kamal, a pretty decent guy when I knew him. Always paid on time in cash. Fairly decent students as it is/was the only school in the kingdom and there was some competition to get in. 80-100 students in total. This info is some years old so things may have changed.
When I was there, the electronics teacher developed a "wastometer", (patent pending). A device that a student would place his hand on to determine how much "wasta" he had. If he had a lot, we just awarded him his certificate and sent him directly to the air traffic control tower. This freed up the teachers to concentrate on the serious students.
Contact Dallah-Avco. they used to have an office in Houston or Dallas, Texas. |
