Ok, this will sound a bit weird but i'll ask it anyway . I completed 2 dog training courses and i love training dogs and since i would like to move to Japan in the near future, i wanted to use the knowledge somehow. So i got this crazy idea since i saw that there is a visa for animal trainers (skilled labor visa) available that maybe i could find a trainer that would take me as a trainee/apprentice and help me master the craft. The problem is i can't find anyone to contact for this. So, if anyone knows anything or finds anything about the matter, please help me and let me know.
Thanks!  |

Considering the language barrier that you are likely to face with the master and customers, how's your Japanese level of speaking and reading/writing? |

Hmmm have you ever trained service dogs or police dogs? I know that the drug sniffing dogs in immigration are trained in English. |

Seeing eye dogs are trained in English, too. Apparently, the dogs find Japanese confusing. I know how they feel. |

@pnksweater
No, i never trained service dogs or police dogs because that is a job for professionals but i would like to learn how to do it. I learned how to teach dogs appropriate behavior and agility(sport) for now.

I suggest you contact JETRO. See if anyone will take you on. Contact the Guide Dog Association, too. |
