Alright I know this may seem like a stupid question to a lot of you, but I have no idea what a "CV" is and everyschool wants a copy if it. Could someone please tell me what this is so I can smack my forehead and go "ohhhh" and get this stuff sent off. Feel free to use all the sarcasm you want.

Thanks

Dear LSP,
A CV (Curriculim Vitae) is pretty much the same as a resume. Here are some web sites that may help:

http://www.free-resume-tips.com/resumetips/curriclm.html

http://www.cvtips.com/#Resume%20or%20CV

http://jobsearch.about.com/library/weekly/aa100800a.htm

Don't feel "stupid" about not knowing - I'd guess you're from the States (as I am) and are used to hearing about resumes instead. I didn't learn about CVs until I was overseas.
Regards,
John

Yes, although you should have learned about this in your TEFL course. I might add that you don't need to embellish your CV or dress it up, as we discussed in one of the other threads.

Dear Victoria,
It was a great trip, thanks, and the weather there was superb. I've never seen Chaco Canyon looking so good, with more wildflowers blooming there than I'd have thought possible.
I doubt I'll ever get tired of visiting those places - Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Aztec, Salmon and Lowry Ruins, too. Each time I go back, I learn some more and see them differently.
Regards,
John

Wow I never heard of that before. As johnslat suspected I'm from the states where all I've ever needed was a resume. I even asked my roomate and he didn't know either. I guess I have to get writing.

The websites say this.

"A CV is like a chronological shopping list of what you've achieved rather than a description of your education and work history."

Though my CV has my education and work history.

They say that a CV should have this

Professional, Vocational or Research Objective
Summary of Qualifications
Professional Licenses or Certifications
Education
Listing of Relevant Course work
Educational or Professional Honors or Awards
Scientific or Academic Research, Laboratory Experience
Description of Thesis or Dissertation, Papers Written, Publications
Academic or Professional Presentations
Related Extracurricular Activities, Professional Memberships
Community Involvement
Work Experience
Technical and Specialized Skills
Interests - Future Academic or Professional Goals
Travel / Exposure to Cultural Experiences
Foreign Language Skills
Additional Information that May Support Objective or Qualifications
In addition to the basics, a CV includes research and teaching experience, publications, grants and fellowships, professional associations and licenses, awards and other information relevant to the position you are applying for.

But the majority of these things I don't have.
