Any reason why it wouldn't be true? Seems to be an annual situation for lotsa years now...
I assume that we will start getting reports here. Is that what you're fishing for?

TESOL Arabia is in full swing with what appears to be many major Gulf employers looking to fill positions. I actually got my current position (in KSA) via a face-to-face interview at last year's conference. I'm not at the event this year but plan to go in 2013 for the presentations and networking opportunities. Fun stuff. |

NS, you didn't miss much. Hopefully 2013 will be ready (just when you're coming!) I did attend the conference but Job Fair was disappointing. Firstly, the TESOL Arabia organizers didn't put up all the ads of the hiring organizations until they arrived (which was Friday for some organizations that I spoke with). Maybe it was because of the change of venue but they (TESOL Arabia) should get their act together. The organization itself had to put their job ad up on the bulliten board.
For a job-hunter like myself, there just weren't that many companies. Some of the organizations I was looking for but couldn't find included:
KAU
PI ATI
KAUST
ADNOC
Al-Hosn
Any non-Gulf jobs (Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, China).
I know Turkey TESOL is having their conference right about now so maybe that's what happened to Turkey but the hiring organizations were few and far between, at least I thought.

Thanks for the update. Another place you might check is TESOL.org's career center; some of those employers you listed have posted job ads there. |

I don't recall them having many (or any?) non-Gulf employers. Have they? Egypt too has its own organization.
KAUST wouldn't attend a job fair. They only have a handful of TEFL teachers. I suspect that PI and ADNOC also don't hire enough to bother to attend a job fair.
