Haniza Language school does not exist. Pardon the long message I'm about to write, but if you know the details, you will know what to expect from them.

I found an ad for a job teaching english in a school in Dubai.

I responded to this ad asking if they had any openings in August. I sent in my esl resume which includes a picture of me. (I'm a 27 year old female).

Almost a month later, I received several emails from : HANIZA LANGUAGE SCHOOL. It stated the school was located at 75 Jumayi Street Dubai,United Arab Emirates. They had sent me a questionnaire to fill, an acknowledgement letter, and another email making sure I had received their previous emails.

I answered the questions, which had to do with teaching, and sent them back.

I then received a 'Dot TK Registry' email, then an email from [email protected] with a letter of appointment and a contract offer.

I found this very suspicious for several reasons: The contract was a word document, they did not ask for an interview, the work week was monday to thursday, and the pay was very high.

After some research, the phone number they had provided turned out to be the fax number for the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai! Surprised

Also, in the history of the email, I found the name of another language institute, ZUFARA LANGUAGE INSTITUTE. When I researched this, I found a report from 2007 claiming it was a non-existant school that was posting job offers.

When I did not respond to their email, they sent me an email the next day and the day after. These contained information on obtaining the visa, airticket arrangement, and they informed me their driver would pick me up at the airport.

I responded I was no longer interested, and I couldn't call them because the number they gave me was the fax number for the intercontinental hotel. After two days, they sent me three emails asking me to proceed with the visa application, and sending me the contract again.

Then, a day later, they sent me more emails. I blocked them from emailing me. The following day, I was denied access to my email account. Hotmail said they received complaints about my email, and they thought it was hacked.

Whether it was a coincidence or not, my advice is stay clear of Haniza Language School. It's a Scam.

It seems to follow all of the usual Scam details as listed in the Scam thread. The .tk address and the unrealistic salary... asking you to do something to arrange the visa.

How much money have they asked for so far? Cool

Well, I ended communication with them before I found out if it was money they were after and how much it would be Smile

Like the saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true...
The salaries range from country to country in the ME and on your qualifications as well. The following is a rough idea:

ESL Instructors(University Level)

KSA: 13,000 to 20,000 SAR (MA/MS - 3+ yrs experience in ME)
UAE: 13,000 to 15,000 AED (MA/MS - 3+ yrs experience in ME)
Q8: 1,100 to 1,500 KWD (MA/MS - 3+ yrs experience in ME)
Oman: 900 to 1,200 OMR (MA/MS - 3+ yrs experience in ME)
Qatar: na
Egypt: 27,000 to 35,000 EGP (MA/MS - 3+ yrs experience in ME)[/b]

Most of these scam jobs offer more money than that and almost never require an MA or more than a year experience.

Another detail that is a dead giveaway is that legitimate Gulf employers NEVER expect the applicant to pay anything for visas up front.

But the unwary are always being caught up because they believe the hype about the big Gulf salaries.
