Can any DFers recommend a good, authentic Indian restaurant in the Centro/Del Valle/Condessa areas? Im dying for a Bhuna with naan, popadoms, and pakora! Thanks in advance.

Tandoor is the only one I've tried in Mexico City (it seems there are very few Indian places here). It is a Pakistani/Indian restaurant but very good, very authentic, and something pricey. Great chutney made on the premises.

I heard about a place that is by Correo Mayor, have been meaning to go look for it. I will report back when I find it. Or if I find it. I love Indian food, but that place in Anzures is just too darn far for me.

Chicken Tikka isn't Indian food, it's British! It was invented in Birmingham, UK. Go to India and ask for it, and see what happens. Wink

I am British. "Indian" food, as i know it, is British Indian. I know it as the British take on the original. When i go for a Bhuna/Tikka/Masala etc i say "im going for an Indian". Perhaps it is akin to my family back home buying Olde El Paso taco shells for their "Mexican night".

Nice you see someone else ( i refer back to your idea / quest to become the Sausage king of Mexico) with an interest in gastronomy. If more are of a like mind maybe a good idea would be a recipe swapping thread?

Recipe swap...I like that.

I'm in need of a good home made chimichurri blend if anyone has one...
