Hi,
After arriving here with such high hopes in February, I am planning to escape from Turkey in two months thanks to my experience with ET.
I worked at one of it's centres a few kilometres from Istanbul's main airport (the neighbourhood begins with a S). I was there for only two weeks when they decided to sack me because of student complaints. Come on, now, they should've given me another chance in that it would've been better to tell me what areas of my teaching needed improvement, etc. I tried, but the I also agree that ET's books were subpar, not enough suggestions on games for example and after teaching in Asia, the three hour lessons were way too long.
That experience has left a bad enough taste in my mouth for me to call it quits for Turkey in two months (I now teach at a private k-12 school), either to Moscow or back to SE Asia. I had high expectations for ET, or maybe too high.
I would definitely give ET a pass |
