Seems like most of us here teach English to people who don't speak English. But what is your job title? anyone have any interesting ones?
Mine is a kindergarten teacher. |

I've never really paid attention to my job titles. They've always been something like "English instructor" or "English teacher"--not nearly as exciting as Teacher Lindsay's job title...

I think I am just (English) Teacher. So yes that would make me
Teacher Camilo
which is not as attractive a user name as "anthyp," I agree. |

Back in Riyadh, my "official title" was "Assistant Trainer". However, on the last ID card I was issued by the IPA, a small mistake (?) was made. On the English side of the card, my job title was named in this way:
Job Title: A s s Trainer
There was, of course, no way the IPA was ever going to get that card back; I still have it in my possession.
Regards,
John |

Can any of us ever be sure of that, I wonder. Well, I suppose we can. What I TAUGHT was mostly grammar and writing. What they LEARNED, however - ah, that's a camel of a different color.

My card says "Visiting Professor". Not sure what they mean by visiting, I've been here 2 years and a colleague 10 years and she's also still "visiting". Maybe they don't want us to get too comfortable. |

I rejoice in the very nondescript title of "Course Tutor". |

If you are alluding to Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2), viz., "What's in a name? That which we call a rose...", then it is "by any other word", not, "by another name". |
