|
|
Hi.
In a few months time I'm planning on flying in to Hong Kong to look for work. I was just wondering what documents I would need for a work visa?
I've been working in South Korea for the past several years and the process to get a work visa here is pretty extreme?
For example do you need a criminal background check, notarized copies of your diploma or sealed transcripts?
And is a medical check (including drug test) required as well?
Thanks in advance. |

If you have time, get everything and then some. If you don't need it right at the beginning, you will in the future. |

My understanding of this is that it's your employer who sorts out your work visa, not you. So your main task is convincing an employer that you're worth employing. That, I imagine, means passing an interview, providing proof of recent employment, education certificates, references - the usual. How much stuff you need depends on the employer. For a private language school I think it's fairly minimal; but for the NET programme (for example) you'd need transcripts, clean record check, et al. |
