|
|
Hey,
I am currently teaching in Wuhan, China. Buddy of mine has applied for a job in Shanghai, but the recruiter who got us jobs in Wuhan has said he wont be able to get the job because he only has one year experience. I know this two year 'rule' is flexible, just wondering what people think about it in relation to Shanghai jobs? |

If they want you they'll make it happen. If they don't want to bother, you'll get the excuse you just got. this applies to the schools though, not the recruiters. A recruiter has no incentive to push you as a candidate unless they think you'll work for less money (increasing their profits) or you have at least a reasonable chance of getting hired.
Finding bodies willing to work in Shanghai is not very hard AFAIK so you may want to rethink your past experiences. See if you can find another 12 months worth of stuff you forgot you did and add it to your CV. |

Shanghai is pretty strict about rules for degrees and experience. Even if the school wants you, you probably won't be able to get your Foreign Expert's Certificate there.
