To the person who sent me a private message: I tried to send you a reply but a notification popped up saying I can't send PM's on this web forum until I've posted five posts. It would be inappropriate for me to reply publicly.

You can now send pms. No need to make whatever it is public!

Thanks. I've been trying to, but the one I wrote just sits in the outbox, and I can't see a 'send' button. Do I just have to wait until it goes of its own accord? I can't find any information about this on the FAQ page.

Dear DeanP,

Your PM is now beyond your control (well, not completely - you can delete it.) But it will "sit in the Outbox" until the person you sent it to opens it. Then, it will move to your "Sent" box.

It's all up to the recipient now.

Regards,
John

Like the postal service, it is no longer 'your' PM once you send it. At least I think... No, maybe I'm wrong...

Ah, another drink!

I think you can delete it if it's in the outbox. I've gotten emails saying I've had a private message, but when come here I don't.
