Oh good! I really wouldn't feel comfortable going to China without at least some interview lined up or something. Thanks for your help
@ xiguagua, yeah you're right, I hadn't really thought about that. I would experience Chinese culture a lot more in a small town somewhere in the country. But I have to say, the thought of having just a few people to talk to the entire time I'm there.. I'm not going for the money, I am going for the culture, but I'm also going to meet new people. And if those people happen to be foreign expats, well..they're still people, people who understand what I'm saying. Different from those I would meet while working a part-time job in my home country. Of course I'd love to meet chinese people and learn their ways and customs, and I still hope I will. I get that a year goes by fast, and I wish I had more time, but any more time away and I would probably give up on a master's degree altogether..
