Basically, he's screwed out of 25000 SAR. The teacher went into the offices of the financial coordinator and raised his fists to the man, telling him he was going to be beaten if he tried to cheat his way out of this one. Then he walked out.
Typical AETG! It's time for recruitment companies to stop working with them. |
How about no one work for AETG or similar outfits. This situation clearly illustrates the risks teachers take when they work while on a business visit visa because their contracts basically aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Can't say it enough: A business visit visa does not grant the holder the right to work or reside in the Kingdom. Therefore, these contracts are not enforceable per Saudi law, and the business visit visa holder could be perceived as entering the country with the intent to work illegally. |

I feel for your friend. The financial officer in question tried, on many other occasions, to swindle the money from the teachers and pay the wrong sums at the end of the contract. It happened to me, although we are talking about a lot smaller amount, but I managed to get ALL my holiday money and a two-year bonus paid but it took a lot of screaming, shouting, swearing and threats. Thats the last thing one needs, when one just wants to leave the damn place.
That little accountant will get seriously hurt one day, no doubt about that. |

I agree...Just say NO to a business visa!!!
There are just too many ways for an employer to use and abuse you while on a business visa.
If 'they' are not willing or able to bring you over on a ligitimate work visa then that means 'they' do not have your best interest in mind. It is a lazy, cheap, sneaky, underhanded way to bring in teachers....so be prepared for more of the same or worse once they get you here. |
