I want to punch myself in the face and break my fingers for typing this but....I agree. I have heard too many bullshit stories. |
I met a guy who said he worked for NASA. Also, a guy who said he personally knew Obama. Really, people told me this. |

Read an article in the Wall St Jrnl about whole families packing it up to come here just to give their kids a "Chinese immersion" experience. Yeah, right!!
Maybe one day there'll be signs in English at int'l airport entry points stating: China proudly welcomes all you losers while our tiger cubs prepare to take your countries top jobs! |

| I think some people just like to boost their egos. Saving $25,000 a year teaching for 9 months out of the year in China is a tall order. If you were incredibly successful private tutoring (which is what I do), incredibly successful, and had been here ten years and built one helluva clientele, you might get close to it, but a tall order indeed. Never a bad month!?! |

One of my friends teaches at a joint venture college and makes 28k/month. She has a PhD. I think she gets about 3 months a year off. I don't find it difficult to believe at all she could put away half her salary each month. |
