|
|
Anybody ever work for Shanghai Pacican Academy? I am wondering how that academy works. For example are you required to go to different schools? And what are the work hours?
Also does anyone know how programs like Appalachians Abroad, CIEE, and a few others are still advertising to get potential teachers to pay them about 2,000 dollars just to get them a job when you can do it yourself or use a free recruiting agency like reach to teach and many others? Why would anyone pay so much money for something that is not necessary? Or am I missing something? |

I had an offer from them and when you considering the teaching hours to the pay, you were working for not that much. I was informed the contract was not that good by teachers already in China. |

Yes, it's stable and legit, but the pay isn't that great when you consider the hours and how much travel time is involved. Not too bad for a newbie who wants to live in Shanghai.

Based on those two comments, maybe I will give this job a pass.
As for my second original question, I am still puzzled as to why pay programs remain active. |
