Don't know what will happen to her, but this is the third year of our contract with this BOE so I know I will not be working at that school next year. For better or worse. Pity as a lot of the kids are great this year! |

no doubt. love these women. they are jonny-on-the-spot daily with tea and lunch. after something like 10 years at my school, our lady retired last month. I splurged for some nice flowers and a pricey fruit torte. these woman are like non-stop cleaning machines.. rather amazing |

Man, I usually only got to be at my schools for a semester. Would loved to have really built up a relationship with my kids. |

I got lucky with this contract as I came in on the second year of a third year contract. When I came back to work in April, it was nice to have a bunch of kids look happy to see me again.
Some of the nasty yanki boys just looked at me and said, "Mata?".
I said, "Un, mata. Gomen ne." |

Quick update with the PC issue: We just had a meeting with our dispatch company and several instructors told the supervisor that Hotmail is now blocked at their schools. The teachers wanted to print out summer contact forms but found they could not and the supe printed out copies for us.
I don't think my nosy baba started it all. There may have been some other incident that triggered the whole city to monitor ALT internet use at work. Cuts into our ability to do our jobs, but that doesn't seem to matter at this point. |

That's cool. I am a softy, and when my ES kids wanted to know if they'd have me in JHS, and I told em no, it put a tear in my eye.
Yanki kids LOVE the crap out of me. So my company tended to send me to the worst schools. Which was a vicious cycle, as I would do well, they'd just send me to a worse school, and repeat.
But yeah, being able to have a long relationship with your kids is enviable. |

Isn't that the truth? Although why do people need to use e-mail at work?
I tell people what I've always said - study Japanese. |

I have accounts with both Hotmail and Gmail, but that's besides the point. Our company emails us news and PDFs of forms we have to fill out and fax back to the company. Apparently, many teachers do not have printers at home. As we are approaching the summer break, we were asked to fill out contact forms and fax in by a certain date. |

Well that's just how it is. Some people crew around too much. So instead of dealing with them, they punish everyone for it. Which is how most places of work operate. |

On my lunch break I use hotmail. I don't see why not. |
