Does anyone know anything about Muscat College?
Apologies if this is repetitive- my search function isn't working. |

I knew a couple of people there many moons ago when it was reasonable. However, the private colleges like that are in fierce competition for students and they generally stay afloat by keeping their costs down and by not paying too much attention to standards. It's a matter of commercial reality for them. It might turn out alright, but prospective employee beware. |

Keep an eye on the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority site - their audit report is due. That should give an up to date account.
I've also heard that the previous validating UK university has withdrawn and that the place may come under new management through the new awarding body.
Wait and see at the moment. |

As sleepwalker mentioned, wait until the new rewarding institution is announced. Even then, I'd keep my guard up as even schools in Muscat that have affiliation with Ivy Leagues in the States are known diploma mills.
Private institutions in Oman tend to be more focused on how many students they can enroll so as to fill their pockets further. Quantity over quality is the mantra here. |
