Is that a direct, nonstop flight?
I've always wondered about that. I'm a yank. |

Whoa.................
I said I tried to cancel the post. I did not expect any answers.
I only posted this yesterday. Yes, I did bother to answer.
I am not glued to the internet. I do check email twice a day these days.
I am in N.Y.
I am going to Nanyang.
I did check a lot of sites. I even called a travel agent.
I found flights for around $1,000.00. They were all 2 stops.
I do not want to pay more then$1,500.00 for the flight.
My University gives air fare half in the middle and the other half at the end of the contract.
Thanks all who answered me. |

It is Miles. Its about 12 hours London>HK, a little longer going back the other way. A few major carriers do the route, Ive flown Virgin, BA, Cathay Pacific and Emirates have recently been advertising return tickets for around 5500 RMB non-stop.
Around 2007 - 2008 there was a budget carrier called Oasis that also did the route, one way with them was normally less than 2000 RMB! No wonder they went bust.
Ive also flown London>Kuala Lumpar twice. Non-stop and a longer flight, often cheaper one way with Air Asia. That route normally leave me with 10 hours between flights but I can connect from KL>Guilin which suits me in terms of arrival times etc.

| my flight from vancouver to yantai aug 15 is 32 hours. arrive in shanghai at 6pm and then fly to yantai the next morning at 10. the airline is giving me a free hotel room for the night so it's not that bad. $710 one way... cheapest price i saw anywhere. on another day it might have been $1,300. august is a really busy time of year for flights so it's hard to get good deals |
