Hi everyone! More questions!
1. I am having my records sealed, but it prolly wont be done in time for my expected departure in Sept. Simply put I had a "shopping incident" with my cousin about a year ago. The charges against me were dropped, but on my record it says "Dropped". I was wondering if this would cause any problems with getting my passport and working overseas?
2. Would it be crazy to ask Nova to postpone my departure date? This is simply b/c my father is goning to have a major operation done and I would like to be around for it. I would ask if I could leave in October if possible. Would Nova *corporation giant* take away the job offer say "hell no" and I be out of an awesome opportunity?
3. This connects to the last question...my boyfriend has just been activated to be sent to South Africa. We are considering getting married soon...as in the next two months or less...will this cause any probs with my visa app (I said single, as I wasnt married at the time) or any other issues I might need to know?
Any help, advice, or info will really help thanks a bunch!!! |

I have no idea what "activated to be sent to S Africa" means but it sounds like a painful form of robotic pressganging.
Anyway, I digress. Being married or single when you process your visa application is irrelevant unless YOU are the dependent. Once your status changes however, you should notify your local city hall/ward office in Japan and possibly immigration as well.
Personally, I think NOVA will take one look at your request for you to stay a while in the US to see your dad through his operation and think "is she having us on?" They might not actually believe it is true and therefore may not grant the request. Never worked for NOVA though so I'd be interested to see what others say. |
