I know it's a little late, but heck I'm a laid back Canadian. I posted this on the NA forum, but now I've remembered that no one ever reads it.

Who do you think will win Lord Stanley's Cup and in how many games? The only rule is that you have to vote before Game 4.

The prize? That's open for discussion, but make it quick.

Alright, I'm in. Calgary takes the next two games. The cup comes "home". All is right with the world. Cool

Hard grunt work beats talent about two thirds of the time. Flames in 6.

I'd also voted for the Flames in 6. They got too much heart not to win it at this point.

As Donnie C would say the flames are playing "Canadian Hockey". They hit em, hit em, and hit em again till they're scared to touch the puck, and when they do have the puck they throw it away because they are afraid of getting hit. If they stick to that game plan it'll be back in Canada in 3 more games. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I say Calgary in 7.

And I base the game seven part on one thing ... I'm hoping for the excitement that comes with a game seven victory. Of course Calgary could leave all the teeth from Tampa Bay's team scattered on the ice much sooner, but that would take from the suspense.

My hockeyfansmanship goes back many moons. My Canadian grandmother got me hooked, way back when games were on television (CBC or CKCO ... I can't remember) live, in black and white, there were no helmets, and hockey players were easy to spot because of their beautiful smiles. I am now, and always have been, a Red Wings fan (I don't even want to hear it, so don't even start).

Which leads me to Why Calgary? Because if the temperature doesn't drop below freezing for at least three months of the year, any given locality shouldn't be allowed to have a hockey team, that's why.

At least this series promises to be better than that "Mighty Ducks" trash last year. Wasn't that the title of a cheesy movie?

I'd be happy to see The Cup head for Canada instead of spending a year under *gasp* palm trees. Twisted Evil

Water on my brain, water sustain,
Water over me

Water to think, water to drink
Water over me

Lagerlout, I take it you're the lone voter for Tampa?

There should be an "I don't care" choice. Confused

Dear Gordon,
The LONE voter - I see two. Hmmm, wonder who the other one could possibly be. Oh, have I mentioned that I lived in Tampa for 7 years?

John

Despite being a non-fan, I would love to see the cup in Canada again. Plus, Calgary is the closest Saskatchewan will ever get to having a cup, so I must cheer now!!

GO Calgary!!! (in 6)

Calgary in 6 seems to be the popular choice, and my heart says yes to this, BUT, I think the Oilers of the early 80's proved that talent will prevail over the grinders....I hate to be a wet blanket, and I hope I'm wrong, but I would have to put my money on Tampa in 7. Vinny and Martin, Richards and Modin etc. will not lay down.
