I see today that a company called TESOL Saudi is hiring for a group with the initial set AETG. Another company called Wise Teaching is also recruiting. Does anyone have any feedback or experience with either of these 2 entities?

I have a list of recruiters that are best avoided and AETG is on it. I don't remember the specific reason, but I compiled the list based off of forums and the recommendations of contacts. Best to do a search for the specific recruiter and you will find a lot of info.

What's unsettling is that Wise's current ad for AETG indicates a minimum requirement of a BA (unrelated is okay) + CELTA/TEFL cert + just one year of experience. (Salary starts @ $30,000.) However, it's interesting that the ad also states: "Although teachers come to the ME predominantly for the money, they should remember that they are there for the students, not the other way round." Hmm...

Dear nomad soul,

Not the other way around, huh? Well, true enough - all too often, the Saudi students are not there for the teachers Very Happy.

Regards,
John

"remember that they are there for the students, not the other way round."

Well I have come across individuals in this business who don't seem to understand that !
