Hi All

I have a question regarding a Visa issue which I hope you can help me with.

I am currently in the Kingdom on a 90 day Work VISIT visa and I am unhappy with the way that I have been treated by my employer. I understand that under the Visa I am on I can just leave the country as I don't need an Exit Visa.

however my question is that if I leave early, can my current company cause me problems if I plan to renter Saudi Immediately on another Work VISIT visa or an actual Work Visa(employment visa) with another company I.e. can they get me blacklisted for leaving early? OR is this only possible if you have an Iqama with them?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Regards

Very Happy

It's business visit visa---there's no such thing as a work visit visa. Anyway, no blacklisting; you're not even a legal employee of this company---you're just "visiting." Besides, they'll be more concerned about getting another warm body to replace you. You'll soon be forgotten.

Definitely research your next employer or contractor thoroughly to avoid another disappointing and costly experience. It's also best to go direct hire if you can.

There is such a thing as a 'work visit visa' or 'ziyarat 3amal'. You can see it clearly on this application form: http://www.samspassport.com/visa/documents/SaudiApplicationMerged.pdf
It may be a new type of visa but it does exist. I believe the conditions are very similar to the 'business visit visa'.

However, it's not listed as a visa type available on the Saudi Embassy's consular services page: http://www.saudiembassy.net/services/ . The business visit visa will include pasted stamps in the passport that say "visit" (reason referred to as a visit visa); whereas, the pasted stamp for the employment visa states "entry." Both are for 90 days, but the latter leads to an iqama, which should be processed within those 90 days. In fact, my iqama processing took less than a week.
