|

I know hiring season for September start is over. I was wondering if there is another hiring season for China without having to wait until next September. I know there are openings at places all year round, but I was wondering specifically if there is another hiring season, albeit smaller than September.

There are jobs still to be had because teachers will not show up, or the schools just figured out that they need another teacher. I a still getting offers for September start. |

Good luck with your start. Is there another hiring season midyear though, I need a little bit more time to prepare. |

For most public universities: November through January |

Oh, thank you. When is the start, is it during those three months, or is that a hiring season for a later month? |

Most universities will hire November through January for a late February or early March start, which is the start of the second term at most unis. |

Have you tried the search function? Have you looked at actual job advertisements? If not, I advise that you do so. Different schools start at different times. If you used a little resourcefulness, you'd learn that Chinese universities spring term start sometime between February 10th and the 20th, sometimes as late as March.

Don't you think a first time foreign teacher, starting out in China may have a few questions about what to bring? But I'll ask them at a later date. |

You're going to rely upon one source? Pfffft. |

You mean Dave's as being one source? If I get more than one answer I'll have more than one source. But if you're advising me to do some separate research too, than I will. |

China is a large country, and Dave's forum members don't represent the entire country, nor do they represent all FTs.
Makes sense, huh? |

Hence the reason to ignore most responses one gets on here. |

Uh, no. It's a good reason to look elsewhere for MORE information. It's a good reason to learn resourcefulness because Mommy doesn't work in China.
There's no reason to take umbrage. |

It's just that I would say that coming on here and asking questions is being resourceful, which is not to say that you shouldn't do other research. You seem to be attacking people for asking questions. |
