I am in the process of using this website for the first time http://www.epals.com for some interactive classes for my Primary School students.
It enables teachers to link up with other teachers and their students from across the world and correspond on subjects of their choice. I plan to use it to allow my students to see life in a Western country from a students point of view with the aim of improving their world knowledge and their English skills.
Has anyone used this site or done anything like this? I hope that it will work well and provide some real life experience to practice English with native speakers. |

I used it this year for my prep class, which consists of 10 fifteen year olds. They really enjoyed it, though some benifitted more than others. The kids they wrote to werent always consistent so some students got many emails and others got very few. We set aside two lessons every friday to check mail and to compose replies. Adds a bit of variety and scope to lessons I think. Fun too. |

I'm doing it at the moment linking a class I have here in Seoul with one in Kyoto. Going well. The kids are really motivated. |
