Dear English teachers,
How long should a level take to complete?
I'm currently using the 'New English File' series as base course material and I'm finding, when I add in supplementary material, that I am getting through about 3 Units per 10 weeks for a total of 30 hours.
So in all I am getting close to 90 hours for one level (CEFR). Is this too long for a standard course? |

Most of our general English courses are 90 hours and finish a single text book with 12 units. The progression usually is about 450 hours to get to an intermediate level from a beginner level.
Children's courses usually are slower. |
