More like 25? To get any overtime pay, you have to work 25 hours before they pay it. Just wondering if that's the line............

Central Command:

If you're a direct-hire, you're most likely putting in around 25 hours a week. For example, I'm on campus from 8:00am-12:00pm three days out of the week, which includes contact and office hours. After that, I'm done for the day.

However, for those teaching via a contracting company like ICEAT, EdEx, etc., the workweek can run 40-48 hours because the longer the teacher works (or is physically on campus), the more the company gets paid. That usually means 4-6 hours of teaching and one hour of office time while the remainder of the day is spent doing whatever until the workday adds up to 8 hours.

As From 2009/2010 academic year the pattern seems to be 20 hours teaching and 20hours in the office.

That was what it was at the KSU PYP.

And looking at some of the job adverts it does seem to be the norm now.

Given that most teachers teach the same 2 hour class twice, it made for a lot of sitting around time.

Then again, there was always so much Fxxxing admin to do....
