Hello I am interviewing for a position at Al Hassan and I was wondering if I should be aware of anything about this company. I have searched for any posting on this and have not seen anything. I have an MA TESOL, but I don't have much experience (1 year full time, and almost another year with some part time and other experiences.) So I know it would be difficult to get a uni job at this time in my career.
Starting pay is $3000 USA a month
30 days vacation (Plus holidays)
Iqama (can bring my family in three months)
Flight for me
$900 housing a month
Insurance
It seems like a standard contract from what I have seen. Any thoughts from those who have experience?
Thank you!

Do some research, gents.
Is it
1. Al Hussan National School (Dammam, Jubail, Khobar)?
2. Al Hussan International School, IB & IGCSE curric (Khobar, Jubail, Riyadh)?
3. Al Hussan Training Institute (Dammam, Jubail)?

It is the corporation http://www.alhussan.com/
I also have a family and one of my friends in Riyadh mentioned that some of these institutes make promises about getting your family in, and they often renege. Any thoughts? |

IB: very au courant, isn't it?
Not much more than institutional cachet, a superficial brand for PR to deploy at will to aspiring constituents.
A former teacher told of a genuinely shtumpik Prince, an Al-Hussan student, who stumbled through three Forms. He nevertheless accepted all manner of juicy awards at Convo.
Clever marketing, indeed. |
