Hi everyone Razz

Firstly I would like to apologise if this is a silly question Embarassed

I was wondering if someone can explain to me in (dummy terms) what exactly is the Trinity and Cambridge University exams? Many jobs (in Italy) I have been interested in have been saying to have experience in this area is essential or it's great to have, ect....

How can I gain experience in this field?

Thank you Smile

Here's the website for the Trinity ESOL exams:
http://www.trinitycollege.co.uk/site/?id=263
and here's the website for the Cambridge ESOL exams:
http://www.cambridgeesol.org/index.html

Schools in my area of Italy only seem to do the Cambridge exams. I suggest you go and download the info from the Cambridge site so you know what the exams are all about.

These are what the schools normally offer in terms of exams:

Scuola media: KET
Scuola superiore: PET / FCE; very occasionally CAE

Even if you don't already have experience with the exams, you'll at least know what they're about, what levels they correspond to, etc! Also worth reading the examiners' reports so you know what common problems are.
