Can anyone recommend good free or cheap webinars or online trainings that would look improve my ESL teaching skill set and look good to potential employers? I just started a new job and I get a small amount of money ($150) to use for professional development for any educational or career related goals that I have. Thanks!
To get the topic started, I have found one good resource for free webinars: http://www.readinghorizons.com/markets/esl.aspx
There are presentations to watch with notes to download, and you can get print out a certificate at the end. Not worth much probably, because anyone can just print out the certificate, but still a cool resource. |

There's a lot out there!
If you're on Twitter, do a search with the hashtag #ELTchat where you'll see all sorts of contributions / advice / notice of upcoming webinars.
Shelly Terrell (check spelling) does a weekly webinar and is very active on Twitter - you could start following her for starters!
IATEFL BESIG (business English Special Interest Group) also has a NING group where details of upcoming webinars are posted. (If biz English is your thing.) |
