| I haven't worked in one, but I have the impression that Qualified Teacher Status (to use the UK terminology) is required for international schools. Perhaps somebody with experience in that area can comment? |

Yes, proper teacher qualifications (PGCE or state certification etc), and usually at least a year or two of post-qual experience, are needed for international schools. |

Thanks again. I registered with an IS recruiter and am headed to a science job fair. (The research thing holds the most appeal since its what a Ph.D. trains you for.)
I have a must old NYS teaching license from 1999 but of course its a wee expired. |
