wats a salary of Rp8,500,000 including accommodation like for this part of the world. above or below the norm for TEFL school ? thnx for any info.

8.5 juta in Sulawesi is great. That's a typical starting salary for a teacher in Jakarta, and the cost of living on Sulawesi is maybe half that of Jakarta. You should be able to live quite comfortably on that salary, and if you aren't blowing a lot of money, save as well. |

Yes I agree, 8.5 mill is a very good wage for Makassar. I worked there in the late nineties befor the monatary crises and still never took home so much. Go for it............which college are you interested in teaching at

Basil, what is the name of the school in Sulawesi? I want to apply ASAP
from the salary stated it's not EF as they are offering the princely sum of 4.5 & thats if you chose the NO FLIGHT option - damn those chinese jews |

And potential applicants should check out the accom. on offer at EF. When a school describes living arrangements as "very basic" alarm bells should sound...
Pity, because from an academic point of view the school seems pretty well switched on. |
