I particularly like the bins of underwear in the background.
Possibly the best feature of this 'lesson' Very Happy

Other than that, I can only say that it HAD to be free; no-one should pay for this stuff......

Don't be so snooty! Look at all his rave comments on YouTube...

At least he had some oomph in the content.

But I dare all of you to get beyond 10 seconds of the guy that never blinks:

Dear Sasha,

I got through the whole thing - but I first had my wife tie me to the computer chair with my hands immobilized, rather like Odysseus listening to the sirens.

My BIG disappointment was seeing this:

"Comments are disabled for this video."

How I'd have enjoyed giving a "comment." Very Happy But I think I can figure out why they've been "disabled."

Regards,
John

P.S. How do you dig up these nincompoops?

I made it all the way to 50 seconds waiting for a blink - I mean, humans must blink now and then, right?? So, clearly this guy's an alien.

And, TIR, that first guy's got groupies - the ones who admire his white hair (and perhaps his underwear) Laughing Doubtful if they are learning anything, though.

I'm reminded of how Dick Williams, the manager of the Red Sox back in the late 60s (he passed away last year,) responded to a reporter's (inane) question:

Reporter: Dick, how come you never blink?

Dick: Did you ever stop to think that maybe we both blink at exactly the same time?

Regards,
John

Well, there are some perks to being a ninja teacher obviously. But even more creepy is the fact he's married. (Note the wedding ring.) Wonder if he lectures his wife...

"Did. You. Go. To. The. Supermarket. On. Your. Own?"
"Well yes, I did."
"Well. Yes. I. did."

As a thought experiment, how much grammar do you think a student needs to get through most conversations, assuming they're not trying to describe anything too complicated, like financial transactions or how to split the atom?

My guess is not that much. They have to know how to string the words together properly, and be able to use the present and past simple tenses. Add in the present continuous, and the past continuous for telling stories, and be going to, and I bet most students could bluff their way through just about any conversation. It may not be perfect English, but they would be understood.

My students have more problems with vocabulary when speaking, and you need quite a bit of that to hold a conversation.

Dear Johnslat

My intelligence and security networks are ever vigilant against wreckers of this ilk. Though these scum are hard to find in our worthy profession, my operatives can sniff them out from 500 metres and savagely root them out, no matter what rotten floorboard they scurry under. Their fate is only what they deserve, for crimes against education.

So usually the question is not really a matter of digging them up as such, if you follow me....
