It is hard to say. I read different things.
But if the yen goes to 120 to the dollar, time to move towards the exits.

Actually there has been more movement vs the euro than the dollar.
It is currently at 119.

I read a similar article in 2009 stating the dollar was going to be worthless by now, so...unless dude's crystal ball is clearer than mine, take this with a grain of salt.

Despite Abe having no economic sense, the yen is too expensive. It really needs to be north of 100 to a dollar.

at 90.60 and climbing! damn... this is not good!

those of us living in Japan, we are effectively getting a huge pay cut (assuming you move money out of Japan).. thanks abe-san..

It really only has been below 100 for the past 5 or so years. Before that it was always a good bit over 100. This is just a return to normalcy.

It was 120Y to $1 in '07 when I was there. It just sucks if you had intended to send money home in any kind of quantity. For me, this is great. It means my money will really stretch for those first few months until I start getting full paychecks.

Exactly, in 2008 it was 240 to the pound. The yen was always artificially strong at 130 to the pound and 80 something to the dollar..
