I tried e-mailing these two schools and my e-mails were sent back. Are there any other e-mails for these two schools?
Thanks,
Jami |

Not that I know of, you could try doing a google search for the schools and find the website. Sorry, I don't know. |

One of my friends in Mxico pointed out this (Spanish-language) job board:
http://www.occ.com.mx/
There seem to be a few English teaching jobs there, mainly in Mexico City (DF) and the border towns.

I've just deleted several job ads. Please do not post individual job ads on this thread. If it continues, the thread will no longer be available. |

Hello, My name is Theresa and I am in the process of obtaining my TEFL/TESL certificate in California. I located some great jobs from the list of websites for jobs in Mexico that one of the participants posted. I wonder, have any of you worked in Mexico and if so, can you share some information about what it is like to work there? Can some one share some of the important cultural aspects that I would need to be aware of should I manage to get a position there? Many thanks!

Can't say what schools are hiring when in Mexico.
But,
I have a free esl site for teacher resources.
The Mexico school list is the most extensive I've seen anywhere ever.
I've worked hardest on the Mexico school list because my husband to be is Mexican & I will start off teaching in Mexico.
Sometimes the best way to do things is the old fashioned way and contact the schools one by one in the area your interested in working in.
Hope this helps...

ESL4everever,
Thank you for sharing your site. Your Mexico list (of schools and information on teaching legally in MX) is a great resource.

Do Mexican employers always want young teachers? Most jobs seem to be 40 years old or below. |

I'm in my sixties. Though I've been self-employed here for several years, when I was working for schools and institutes, I don't recall that age was an issue. What kind of jobs have you seen advertised that ask for teachers 40 years or under? |

Various job sites were asking for 20-30 yos only! And others stipulated maximum 40, which was kind of disappointing. But as you testify, it's not that much of a problem. They must be flaky schools to only want youngsters, but I'm relieved others, such as yours, aren't so 'childish' |
