Can someone recommend a good CVwriters service? I want someone who is experienced in writing resumes for teaching English abroad positions and can't seem to find many of those.
Thanks! |

Yes, really! Don't double post. People find it hard to keep track of things. |

I apologize for the double post. That was my very first time posting anything since I am brand new here. I've got it now! |

I used cvcentre.co.uk for a new CV and spec letter. I was very happy with it and the cost was good enough for my budget. |

From the OP's duplicate post (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=100523):

It isn't rocket science.
contact information:
name, nationality, phone/e-mail/location
Educational background: uni name - degree conferred, tefl/tesol cert
work experience: employer name, location, job name
volunteer experience: employer name, location, job name.
2 pages maximum. names, dates, facts.
Anything else should go in a cover letter.
Don't get too fancy with the working and nuances.
Chances are that the person reading it is not very good at reading English.
MS Word has templates and examples. Just fill in the blanks. |
I totally agree with Tttompatz. Plus, there are plenty of websites with instructions on how to write a basic cover letter and CV---many also include samples. Frankly, anyone considering teaching should be comfortable writing their own documents. After all, that's what we expect of our students. |

Why not write your own and head to a local employment office where you can get some additional advice for free? |

Yes, follow TtomPatz' advice and then get another teacher or two to check it over for you in terms of errors and style (remember: plenty of white space is good; do not feel the need to fill the whole page with writing). |
