The one summer job I've done was secured privately. But then I was in China and had contacts.
My only comment is from memory that there are plenty advertised, when the time comes.
Seriousteachers.com is the site I normally look on.
A proactive approach might be to put your stuff up on seriousteachers.com now and indicate that you're looking for a summer gig with a segue into a fulltime job in the fall semester.
I'm totally clueless about the visa ramifications of this summer to fulltime pathway. Others may be able to help.
Best

Thanks. Ive had my stuff on seriousteachers for a while, as per your advice.

Ooops
I really don't cut and paste Very Happy
You're just a bit early for both summer and fall semester but that's a good bias to take.
I will be interested in how the visa thing might work.
If you don't get a response to that question, consider a new 'Transitioning from summer school to fulltime?' thread.
I'm sure there will be others who have done this without going home.
I think I saw somewhere the suggestion that you should secure your fall job and then arrive early and do the summer school.

Thanks.

Alot of people say not to use recruiters, but of the two websites that I go on to look for jobs, nearly all of the adds seem to be put up there by recruiters. I am not seeing any ads put up by a schools, or univeristies.

I know I posted a link to China TEFL on one of your other threads not too long ago, and those jobs are posted by the schools, not recruiters. The link is on your other thread here:

Oh yeah, I did check that out. I didn't realize they were all posted by the schools. I'll check it out again. Thanks. Did you sign up with that site, or just get the names of the schools off of it and contact them directly?
