We tend to fall outside the established sorts of definitions of many institutions. So, they give us some pretty cool titles.

I've been around a while, and here are some I've held/still hold:

Teacher
Tutor
Instructor
Professor
Assistant Professor
Pedagogical Mentor
Co-ordinator
Team Leader
Editor

Wadda they call you, where you are/have been?

I'm currently "tutor for developing English speaking skills" which I think is just a visa ruse.

In Spain I had the rather grandiose "profesor adjunto" title, which could be translated as Associate Professor. Yeah right!
