| As I thought, Jubail Tamimi has stacks of the stuff, dog, cat, fish, budgie food, collars, bowls, beds, even a spade for scooping up the doo. |

OK thanks. I'll catch the next Saudi Airlines to Jubail from Riyadh to get my next batch of cat food for my little princess Sarah now meowing from hunger pains and looking at me with flesh lust in her eyes.

| When I lived in Al Jouf I had to cook for my cat. Chicken livers are cheap and full of nutrients. I'd just boil them and then puree them in the blender but there are lots of pet food recipes on-line. In Sakaka it was hard to find the other ingredients in those recipes, so I'd also give her some yogurt or cheese from time to time. |

|
|
Last Thursday (April 18, 2013) cat food (plentiful supplies) was available in Tamimi in Khobar, opposite Starbucks, on the Khobar Corniche. American brands, good quality - 1kg bags going for around 24 SAR. In Panda, etc, and the KFUPM Co op, hardly any cat food could be found. Farm 5, Khobar, only has a few cans of cat food left.
As an alternative, the cats enjoy the processed turkey slices one can buy in Farm 5 and the small tuna fish cans, available everywhere, but this can get expensive if you have many cats to feed.
Hopefully, the usual stores will stock up again soon. Cats also serve a purpose here, to keep the rodent population down, as well as being good company for teachers who eschew more conventional forms of (human) company.
