There is a lot of truth in the previous comment. However, I'd add that a lot of shock and discomfort can be alleviated by a nice little bottle of Beluga vodka, a solid, improving book, by Tolstoy maybe, and a few symphonies by Borodin or Mahler.

"Wouldn't you simply die for Mahler?"

Pop quiz: who said that?

But wasn't it, "Wouldn't you just die without Mahler?"

Right. We have to play some now, don't we? This should help put the OP back on an even keel:

Congrats to Sasha!

Maureen Lipman character. I'm sure she said "wouldn't you simply die..." and then tried to top herself. Poor darling.

But yes, a bottle of something, some great music, a good book ... good company - all these help immeasurably to mitigate the dismal human condition.
