Does anyone know of a reasonable gym in Sathorn? I need a rack and a bar type place.

Also, how much is it to rent out a bike on a monthly basis?

Thanks in advance

Vab

I found a nice jogging route in Lumpini park. In the same park is a good gym which is free. Lots of heavy weights but also quite basic. Next to the park is the famous Lumpini boxing stadium where you can watch fights for free on certain days of the week.

Saw, for the first time in my life, what I thought was a small crocodile, but it ended up being a lizard, or so I was told.

Although, it is much smaller than Lumpini, you should check out Suan Romaneenart (ro-ma-nee-nart), a park built in what was formerly Bangkok Prison. The front wall and the guard towers were left standing as well as one cell block that serves as a museum. The rest has been totally landscaped, so the setting is quite unique.

Jogging and weight-lifting are popular there, plus basketball, skateboarding, aerobics, etc. It's right next to Wat Suthat and the Giant Swing, in the original royal city on Rattanakosin Island.

Yeah, those monitor lizards really do look like miniature crocs when they get into the water.

Were you thinking about riding a bicycle or a motorcycle in Bangkok? Actually it doesn't really matter which. Laughing Laughing

Maybe Chiang Mai would be a better place for you to find a job and reside if you want to ride a bike back and forth.
