Thanks again for the help, everyone.
I must say, this site has been a huuuuge help for me during my quest towards living/working in Japan.
Immigration/Customs was a breeze since I made sure to have all of the necessary documents. I've got my residence card and I'm all set! Man, it's great to be back... |
I have found this site to be the best for getting information as far as message boards go. Everyoen one seems to be willing to help, even with repeat questions.
How did getting your residence card go? As in, how did it work once you got off the plane? |

| After arriving in Narita, I walked through the airport and went in the immigration line for business-traveling foreigners with my passport and filled-in disembarking cards. The person at the booth checked them, had me place my index fingers on this scanner, took my picture, made copies of my information, and printed out my residence card. All of this took under 5 minutes. |
