I have an interview with them. They seem very honest, they even mention on their site that it's illegal to come over to work on a tourist visa until your working vista is ready.
On Glass Door it's got some shady reviews. However, I understand that sometimes they are not always accurate, such as "some staff are cute" as a pro.
I can't find much on pay and one of the staff said there are multiple openings for Junior high scool/Elementary, and even kindergarten.
Has anyone worked for them, or heard about them? I trust this forum more so than other places.
Thank you |

You mean Heart as in the dispatch company? The pay is low and it has probably the worst reputation out there. |

yea, they're the Alt dispatch company.
Thats a shame, they seem more honest than other companies I have interviewed for.
Do you know where I can find more information on them? They seem rather small and it's hard to find much on them. |

Heart is pretty bad. They are always the lowest paying that I see online. Also, I interviewed with them and after a good first impression and being told I completed a Japanese speaking test nicely, I never heard from them again after numerous attempts to contact them. I think they literally look for the middle ground of eager Westerner trying to come over and dumb enough to take the low pay. The difference in pay is all put into their pockets.
Also, I just met a guy who worked with Heart several years ago in Ibaraki and he said they were not pleasant either. |

I worked for Heart for 2010 - 2011. I had no problems with the company, but maybe it depends on the branch. |

Thank you for the information.
Does the pay vary depending on what school/grade level you are teaching? |

I don't think too many people have been happy with Heart. They seem to have terrible pay, and massive pay gaps. I wouldn't go near them.
I too oddly enough did an interview in Japanese as well. I mean for 18δΈ‡ a month, you really expecting anything out of your employees? |

Come on man, don't be so naive. Of course the recruiter is going to make the company sound like an amazing place to work, it's their job. They're not going to talk about some of the more undesirable parts.
Anyway, I once interviewed for Heart a few years ago and was offered a position. During the interview they made it seem like there would be plenty of positions available for me and that they paid well enough. After giving them all my documents and such, they sent me a list of positions, each one having different working conditions and salaries. I live in central Tokyo and everything was either for way out in west Tokyo or line northern Saitama, it would have taken me hours just to get to the schools. The salaries were also nothing good at all, half of them were paid by the day and the salaried ones were also pretty low.
To their credit, there were a few salaried positions which lasted for an entire year, so none of Interac's shit where the contracts are from mid-Apr until mid-Mar, where you're stuck with a month with no pay at all. |
