Could anybody tell me how much they offer here for English teachers?
Their main campus is in Quanzhou, but I am interested in whether or not they offer English courses on their Xiamen campus, and if so, how much do they pay?
The university's main website only talks about the Quanzhou campus, and says 6000-8000, but with no clarification about exactly what you would have to do to qualify for the higehr end of this range, and also they don't give any information about the Xiamen campus, which has at least 15000 students in its own right.
Anybody have any experience of working there? |

(sigh)
Yes, I have, but as it is the end of the semester and everyone is getting ready to leave for the summer, local office efficiency is even lower than its normal, less than stellar levels, and getting any definite, useful information out of anyone is almost impossible.
Hence the enquiry as to whether or not anybody here has any actual information.
Does anyone have any answers? |

Their Xiamen campus is actually in Jimei, quite a way outside of Xiamen. They aren't hiring teachers there for the fall because the 3 that are already there are staying. The Quanzhou campus might still need some for fall.

Are you there in Xiamen, are do you know someone who is?
I am not bothered about this September, I already have work, but I am curious about the job terms.
Do you know what the salary there is?
Do they provide housing, or is there an option to take a rent subsidy and rent your own place? If so, how much is the subsidy?
Thanks in advance for the help |

Or give me a call: 15659298972
I worked in Quanzhou's Huaqiao university but I've also been to the Xiamen campus. Now I'm on Xiamen island! I have experience in both cities and would be more than happy to offer any help or advice! Cheers! |
